GPS and working directly at the place of operation
GeoSewerTrack connects digital drawings with the actual place where the work is carried out.
Especially in sewer service operations, it is not enough to view a plan only in the office. Relevant information must also be available where the work actually takes place.
GPS-related functions can be used within GST for this purpose.
GPS positions directly in the project
GPS pins can be placed within a drawing and linked to a specific location.
This means information can be assigned not only to a project or drawing, but also to a geographical position.
For example, the location of a relevant point within a work area can be recorded.
Connect the plan with the actual location
Technical drawings and the real environment do not always match at first glance in everyday work.
GPS-related information can help establish the connection between the digital plan and the actual place of operation.
Instead of searching for an area solely by names or descriptions, a location can also be marked spatially within the project.
Store information exactly where it is needed
A GPS point can be combined with further project-related information within the workflow.

Additions during the field operation
Depending on the assigned permissions, additional GPS points can also be added while work is being carried out.
If, for example, a relevant position is identified on site, it can be stored directly in the respective project.
The position therefore does not first have to be recorded separately and transferred later.
The information can immediately become part of the shared project status.
Enable GPS functions individually
Not every customer instance has to use the same range of functions.
GPS functions within drawings are therefore among the functions that can be enabled according to the configuration of the respective GST instance.
The customer can decide whether GPS-related functions are required for their operational use.
Use on browser-capable devices
GeoSewerTrack is web-based.
Approved projects can therefore be accessed using suitable browser-capable devices, provided the technical requirements for access are met.
This makes GST usable not only at a conventional office workstation, but also on suitable mobile devices in operational work.
The project and function permissions configured for the user remain in effect.
The same data in the office and on site
The key advantage is not simply the ability to place a GPS point.
What matters is the connection with the rest of the project.
Spatial information added on site can subsequently be used by other appropriately authorised employees within the same GST instance.
Conversely, information prepared in the office can be made available for the work on site.
GPS is therefore not used as an isolated additional function, but as part of shared project processing.
